I’ve been incredibly busy of late and I still am. I’ve been having a terrible time at work, long story short I was in a very stale position which was rapidly progressing into a non-technical role. I got myself a part time position developing 2 very cool applications which I can’t say very much about right now but once they’re out I look forward to reading the response to them. I also have 2 young children so with 2 jobs and a family it’s been non stop and little sleep for a while now.
I was recently offered a new position which was almost impossible to turn down. I start my new job on the 14th December and I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am about it. I’ve been feeling very depressed for a while with my job and it leaked into my personal life. All that has now gone and I feel new again. I have high hopes for my future in my new job and I hope to get back my free time to spend with the children and perhaps have some fun coding games again.
My oldest daughter is a little genius and continues to impress me and my youngest is really starting to come a long way with her counting and awareness of her life. I’m a proud dad and I’ve missed enjoying their company recently with me concentrating on sulking rather than listening to them.
Another addition to sucking up my time is our new awesome website. Sgt. Conker at www.sgtconker.com. With a little help from my friends we aim to create the central hub of news, articles and cool stuff from the XNA community.
While I sit here just after putting the kiddies to bed and wait for my colleague to peer review my work, I just thought, wow! I’ve not felt this good for such a long time.
Life truly is good.
